Coach Support

Girls on the Run Puget Sound is seeking Black-, Latine-, and/or Indigenous-identifying coaches to help mirror the diverse backgrounds of the participants we serve. Coaches who identify with these backgrounds can opt into receiving unique support from our organization through a grant with the Rite Aid Healthy Futures foundation.

Program Description

With funding from the Rite Aid Healthy Futures Foundation, all coaches who identify as Black, Latine, Indigenous, and/or mixed race can opt into receiving a $300 stipend as a thank you for their time. Additionally, coaches will have the opportunity to work with a BIPOC learning group and be paired with a mentor GOTR Coach to succeed for the season.

We know that Girls on the Run is a better experience when the environment for our participants is inclusive and impactful. We hope to recruit a group of coaches that will best represent the diverse communities we serve for our Fall 2023 Season and beyond. Any individual who aligns with the grant qualifications is encouraged to apply. To do so, apply via our coach application and indicate your ethnicity in the volunteer details. A Girls on the Run staff member will reach out with more details on funding and learning opportunities after it is submitted.

This is made possible by funding from the Rite Aid Healthy Future Foundations. We thank them for their support!
