September's Girl Hero

Devon Kollmyer

Join us in welcoming our new Program Coordinator, Devon, to the GOTR community!

I’m really excited to be working for Girls on the Run! As a kid, I had friends who loved their experience with GOTR.

Movement has always been such an integral part of my own life and wellbeing. I have been a soccer coach for over 10 years, and one of my biggest passions in that space is empowering the girls and non-binary youth I coach. I want them to walk away from soccer with life skills and emotional and physical wellbeing that they will hold onto throughout their lives.

Hearing about the job at Girls on the Run and learning more about their mission and vision resonated so strongly with my own values, and I’m really grateful to be a new addition to the GOTR Puget sound team. I had the privilege of helping to run a few 5K’s in my hometown when I was growing up, and seeing the proud faces of kids as they finished is such a cherished memory. I am excited to make more memories with the team here at GOTR throughout the season!
